Con cruces de acero sobre sus cabezas
¡Llegaron hambrientos a esta tierra!

Trayendo cofres llenos de verdades
¡Mas valiosas que la plata decían que eran!

¡Esta tierra entera es una daga,
angosta, filosa y larga hasta el sur!
Hecha de oro, cobre y de plata
¡Guarda que está clavada aun!

Con la Tizona como un pincel,
pintaron de rojo la cara de "pu Ngen".
¡Y al indio pagaron!
¡Con hambre envuelta en oro a cambio de su ser!

Una de esas cruces el indio robó,
y Forjó un puñal para el conquistador,
¡Pa’ abrirle el pecho y rescatar
el alma que se quedó!
